Spice up Taco Night with Rincon Beach Bar’s Meal Prep Kits
I’m super excited to be featuring Rincon Beach Bar in my first post of the new year! Their holiday offerings were a hit, and the people of the Central Coast have spoken, they want to see more Invisible Chef Meal Prep Kits in 2021. To kick off the year on a high note, Rincon Beach Bar will be offering themed weekly Kits starting this week (1/11/2021)! It’s my absolute pleasure to announce week 1 - the Taco Kits.
Hopefully you know the drill by now, but i’ll do a quick recap in case you don’t. I snag a meal prep kit for myself, assemble it, and review it for you lovely people to get a feel for the experience that awaits you if you order now.
Let’s start with the most important question of all, what does the kit come with? Honestly a better question might be, what doesn’t it come with. As you can see from the ingredient list below, the team has truly covered all possible bases for your perfect family/friend/roommate/date taco night.
4 cups Caesar Salad: Romaine + Corn/Jicama Salsa + Parmesan Cheese + Dressing Selection (Assembly Required)
12 Hand Made Corn Tortillas
Cabbage + Cheese Trio + Onions + Cilantro
2.0 cups Grilled Vegetables
3.0 cups Arroz Amarillo (Yellow Rice)
3.0 Cups Black Beans with Sofrito
Choice of 2 Entrees (Carnitas, Ancho Chicken, Carne Asada, Salmon, or Shrimp)
I opted for the Ancho Chicken and Cilantro Passion Fruit Pesto Shrimp and I can confirm that both were absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the shrimp was marinated in pesto, which pretty much tells you everything you need to know.
Next up, how much prep did this meal prep kit actually require? The entrees, rice, beans, and tortillas required some quick heating, but everything else came chopped and ready-to-serve. I mixed the caesar salad in a separate bowl, made an assembly line of bowls for the other toppings, and voila! time to eat. We had more than enough food left to have a second meal with the same kit, and since the taco’s are deconstructed, everything saved perfectly.
As a self proclaimed taco connoisseur, there’s nothing that irks me more than ordering takeout and getting home to soggy tacos with a disintegrated tortilla. This week’s meal kit lets you ditch the soggy tortillas, and indulge in a build-your-own restaurant-grade-meal experience in the comfort of your own home. Plus, this isn’t just a way to switch up your usual takeout routine, but also a fun activity that calls for participation from your entire household.
But here’s my favorite part about working with local businesses on the Central Coast. I get to call out the care and detail that the team dedicates to creating each and every one of these kits. Not only are the ingredients fresh, but they are of the highest quality, and labeled in a way that my hyper-organized mind very much appreciates. You seriously don’t get this level meal from any big-box meal prep service, take my word for it.
This also might be a good time to mention that delivery is free through January 1/31/2021. All things aside…I’ve never been one to turn down free delivery for delicious food and you shouldn’t either. These tiny details truly make the experience what it is, and I can’t sing their praises enough.
I hope you didn’t think I was going to end this blog post without mentioning a certain beverage that is basically more important than the tortillas on taco night.
The Rincon Beach Bar team read my mind and created these handcrafted Cadillac Margarita bottles as add-ons to your meal. All you need to do is add lime, ice, and give it a good shake!
Not sure if anything can top tacos, cadillac margaritas, AND free delivery… so be sure to order your Taco Meal Kit today, for pickup/delivery on 1/13/2021 or 1/14/2021.
